This uninterruptible power supply (UPS) was built for the Observer 4000/4100 Digital Video Recorder (DVR) and Observer 4112 Hybrid Video Recorder (HVR). Voltage spikes and drops are leveled out to create a steady and clean electrical current to a recorder, protecting valuable storage devices from corruption in harsh mobile environments. In the event of complete power loss, the UPS allows recorders to gracefully shut down, protecting recorded video and data integrity.
